Bristol Myers Squibb Commits $2.3B to a Generation Park Campus
A second pharmaceutical giant is building in northeast Houston, turning Generation Park into a real employment hub.

Bristol Myers Squibb announced on August 10 that it will build a $2.3 billion manufacturing campus at Generation Park, the 4,300-acre business district near Lake Houston.
What it will make
The site will produce several kinds of medicines, including small-molecule drugs, biologics and antibody-drug conjugates, from late-stage development through commercial launch. It is designed to be reconfigured and expanded as the company’s pipeline changes.

The company expects nearly 500 skilled jobs to start, plus about 2,000 construction and indirect jobs between 2027 and 2030. Construction begins in 2027, with operations expected by 2030. The State of Texas awarded a $4.89 million Texas Enterprise Fund grant.

Bristol Myers Squibb joins Eli Lilly, which broke ground on a $6.5 billion plant at Generation Park in September. The Greater Houston Partnership called the announcement a major win for the region.
